Information for our English speaking visitors
The "Grundschule Am Geitelplatz" is the biggest primary school in
Wolfenbuettel. Wolfenbuettel is situated in Lower
Saxony, only 15 km south of
Braunschweig halfway between Hannover and Berlin.
More than 450 children from the age of 6 to 11 attend our school in 20 classes. There is also a
school-kindergarden for children who need special help and support before they can cope with the
school curriculum.
Like most schools in Germany our schoolday lasts from 7.45 a.m.until 13.00 p.m. In the
afternoon our children can play and do their homework.
There are a lot of activities going on in our school which are described on our
school info-page (Unfortunately still
in German!).
We are one of the first primary schools in Germany where children can learn with computers.
